In 1504 AD, Sikandar Lodi founded a new city named Agra on the banks of the Yamuna River with the objective of keeping the rulers of Rajasthan under control, and he made it his capital. During his reign, a list of capable persons was prepared and presented before him every six months. He was educated and scholarly.
