Show answer and explanation
Correct answer: (c) Muhammad Shah
Explanation
The Mughal emperor Muhammad Shah (1719–1748), whose name was Roshan Akhtar, is known as Muhammad Shah Rangila ("the colourful") for his love of music, dance and pleasure. Court culture flourished under him, but the empire broke up: Hyderabad, Awadh and Bengal became independent in practice.
In 1739 the Persian ruler Nadir Shah defeated him at Karnal, sacked Delhi and carried off the Peacock Throne and the Koh-i-Noor.
