Show answer and explanation
Correct answer: (c) 1576 A.D.
Explanation
After Suleiman’s death in 1572, his son Daud Khan ascended the throne. Daud Khan declared himself independent and attacked the Mughal fort at Patna. Akbar ordered Munim Khan to attack Daud and conquer Bihar. Munim Khan defeated Daud in a battle, and by 1574, Mughal authority was established over Bihar. After the defeat, Daud fled to Bengal; however, on 12 July, 1576, in the Battle of Rajmahal, Todar Mal, Muzaffar Khan, and Husain Quli together defeated Daud completely. Thus, in 1576, Bengal and Bihar were fully annexed into the Mughal Empire.
