Explanation

The Battle of Haldighati was fought in June, 1576 between Maharana Pratap and the Mughal commanders Man Singh and Asaf Khan. Besides the Rajput warriors, the vanguard of Rana’s army was led by Hakim Khan Sur, along with a contingent of Afghans. A small unit of Bhil warriors was also part of Rana’s army. This was Rana’s last direct confrontation with the Mughals; afterwards, he adopted guerrilla warfare.
