Explanation

After Bukka’s death in 1377 AD, his son Harihara II (1377– 1404 AD) ascended the throne and adopted the title “Maharajadhiraja.” He conquered regions like Kanara, Mysore, Tiruchanapalli, Kanchi, etc., and collected tribute from the king of Sri Lanka. He also struggled with the Bahmani kingdom. Harihara II’s greatest achievement was the capture of Goa in the west from the Bahmani state. He was a devotee of Shiva (in the form of Virupaksha).
