Explanation

Iltutmish captured Bihar Sharif and Barh, and near Teliyagarhi (close to the Rajmahal hills) a minor skirmish took place between Hisam-ud-din Aiwaz and the royal army. According to Minhaj, ultimately a treaty was concluded between the two sides. Iltutmish appointed Malik Jani as the Subedar of Bihar in place of Aiwaz.
