Explanation

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was born on 23 January 1897 in Cuttack, Odisha. In 1919, he obtained the degree of graduation from Scottish Church College, affiliated to Calcutta University, and in 1920 he passed the Indian Civil Service (I.C.S.) examination. He became the President of the Indian National Congress at Haripura in 1938 and at Tripuri in 1939. In 1939, he resigned from the Congress president ship and founded the Forward Bloc, and in 1941 he went to Germany. In 1943, he took command of the Azad Hind Fauj (Indian National Army). He is commonly remembered as “Netaji”. The title/address “Netaji” was given to Subhas Chandra Bose by the Free India Legion (Indian Free Legion) of Indian soldiers stationed in Germany.
