Yogendra Shukla was a prominent socialist freedom fighter and a close associate of Jayaprakash Narayan. He was also associated with the incident of Jayaprakash Narayan’s escape from Hazaribagh Jail. However, he was soon arrested at Muzaffarpur, and on 7 December, 1942, he was brought to Patna.
