Explanation

The Muddiman Committee was appointed in the year 1924 under the leadership of Sir Alexander Muddiman. This committee was appointed to discuss and examine the issue of dyarchy under the constitution established under the Government of India Act, 1919. Apart from the British members, it also had six Indian members—Shivswami Iyer, R. P. Paranjpye, Tej Bahadur Sapru, Bijoy/Vijay Chand Mahtab, Muhammad Shafi, and Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The committee submitted its report in the year 1925.
