Correct answer: (a) Cyril Radcliffe

Explanation

On 30 June 1947, the Bengal Boundary Commission and the Punjab Boundary Commission were constituted. Cyril Radcliffe was appointed as the chairman of these commissions. On the basis of the Radcliffe Award Report, the partition boundaries of Punjab and Bengal were determined, which were later adopted as the India–Pakistan border (and in the Bengal sector, as the present India–Bangladesh border).
