Which national park is the new home of the Indian one-horned rhinoceros?

Correct answer: (c) Dudhwa

Explanation

The Indian one-horned rhinoceros (*Rhinoceros unicornis*) was brought back to Dudhwa National Park (Uttar Pradesh) in 1984, when rhinos from Assam (Pobitora) and Nepal were moved to its Sonaripur range under a rhino reintroduction programme. This created a second population in the Terai, to protect the species from a disaster in its main home, Kaziranga.

Indian Rhino Vision 2020 later moved rhinos within Assam to other protected areas, such as Manas.
