Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (b) USA

Explanation

The Ghadar Party was founded in 1913 in the USA, by Indians living on the Pacific coast, mostly Punjabis. It grew out of the Hindi Association of the Pacific Coast, formed at Portland, and had its headquarters, the Yugantar Ashram, in San Francisco. Sohan Singh Bhakna was its president and Lala Har Dayal its secretary and main organiser. Its weekly paper *Ghadar* ("revolt") spread the call for an armed rising in India.
