Explanation

At the time of the question, T. S. Tirumurti was serving as India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations since May 2020. On 21 June 2022, the Central Government appointed senior Indian Foreign Service officer Ruchira Kamboj as India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations. In August 2024, Parvathaneni Harish was appointed to this post. On 1 September 2024, he assumed charge as India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
