Besides these, 50% seats in Panchayats are reserved for women in Assam, Gujarat, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Punjab, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, West Bengal and Tripura. In the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, and in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep as well, there is a provision of 50% reservation for women in Panchayati Raj Institutions.
