Explanation

On 30 April 1908, Khudiram Bose and Prafulla Chaki threw a bomb on a carriage, mistaking it for Kingsford’s, with the intention of killing him. However, Mr. Kennedy’s wife and daughter, who sympathized with the national movement, were travelling in that carriage and were unfortunately killed. Prafulla Chaki committed suicide to escape the police, and Khudiram Bose was arrested and hanged.
